Key systems almost always used the yellow slate for the ringer, I say almost because I didn't install too many calldirectors and can't remember. So just put the yellow slate on the white/blue as stated and it should ring, don't worry about the bell leads on the network block, leave them where they were.

PS...Just looked it up..first group y/sl are the bell leads.

Yep stha, we called it bridged ringing but that's what you need to do is get the bell wires to the home line white/blue (tip) and blue/white (ring).

By connecting the bell leads to L2 and K on the network they were using a capacitor to prevent the ringer from pulse ringing when a number was dialed on the old rotory dial telephones. But since your telephone is touch tone I don't think you need to worry about that.

Bill, where did you look it up? Man, do you still have a set of BSP's lying around? Sometimes I long for the days of them..... I wonder what the $$ value of a set would be these days.

In the early 90's I loaned all of that stuff to a close friend of mine who was a directory assistance operator for Bell so he could study for the test to go to outside installation. I'm sorry to say that he was murdered not long after that and I absolutley did not have the heart to even try to get that stuff back. As far as I am concerned it went away when my friend did.

You'd just hook up the CO line to line one and strap the ringer to line one. You would have no lamps, hold or common bell for more than one line without a ksu, or doing a lot of messing around with relays and diodes.

Ditto, what are you using the 82x for? Are you trying to hook up a speaker phone?

The 82X adapter is for use with a 2565HKM or HKMS set only. For a Call Director, regardless of manufacturer, the hard-wired 4A speakerphone connecting block will be required. It's a gray plastic block that holds the multiple connectors from the 4A devices and power input module into the 25 pair connector that ends up as a spade-tipped 10-conductor cord. I seem to recall 223A adapter as being the part number, but it's late and I don't have documents here at home.

I can probably dig up the docs and specific part numbers/wiring on Tuesday. Post back if you need the information and I will see what I can do.
