Sorry for nor answering sooner bill, The Answer is No, 824 use templates to program. The same as the 16x48 and 24x64. I can't get over that there is still a EX616 still working out there.

Go to wedophones.com-Manuals-Iwatsu-TXX-616. It is basically the same as the EX-616. You will find the password on the dip switch's on the CPU.

Hope this helps. If you still need help I know I have a EX-616 manual, just have to find it.

thank you to all the replied! i got this one licked! found out the password and how easy this thing is to program. the customer chose the cheapest route possible to bypass the problem he was having, basically c.o. port 1 failed. i switched him down to c.o. ports 2 & 3, set the ringing, access, and other required parameters and he is a happy camper now. i'll be replacing the 25 year-old ni-cd backup battery this saturday. since the programming is so easy, i have no concerns about reprogrammig it after the battery replacement.

THANKS AGAIN ALL!

That's why I have been a fan of Iwatsu for 30 years. They just do not die, even if you try to kill them.
