I have a 6700 speakerphone. Trying to put it in place of a 6706. I need to know how to program the phone lines(3 of them) to the buttons at the top of the phone. On the 6706 the lines were put in at the bottom so the top could be used for speeddial. When the 6700 is plugged in it loses our third line. Thanks.

What is the model of KSU (cabinet)that you have there. I'm thinking that the 6700s (12 line phone) will work with the old Executech KSUs. Maybe someone who remembers will jump in here. Keep in mind that the system is probably over 20 years old. Do you have an intallers manual for that system??

They don't work with the Executech, but they did work with the Digitech.

These are the executech phones. I had a 6714S and replaced it with a 6700S and it works fine, same phone but the 6700S has a digital display. I want to put a 6700S in place of the 6706X.

OOps. You're right. I was thinking about the 77XX series. Duh.
But..... It won't work on the original Executech KSUs; only the XL series and Executech II models.

Have to check on KSU, it is in the locked phone room in the building. The 6700S does work when plugged into the 6706 jack, just that the lines are in the wrong places on the buttons. I want to program the new 6700 to haver the lines show up on the top buttons of the phone.

KSU-looked at the box and all I came up with was N0308. Not much on outside of box. My understanding is that the phones can be programmed from Station 10, but the manuals i have do not say how to do that.
