Installed a 100 officeserv today, in the kit , doesn't come w/misc card anymore? , but anyway, Installed system & 6 phones but used a svmi-4e that had 3.5 hr storage, new in box, instead of the 15 hour units coming with the kit, Program everything, test because customer wants to manually set mode instead of automatic, so made night 1 and day 2, programmed buttons on phones for RP1 & RP2 , manually set & called into system, worked properly during day after I set forward trunk for 501 to goto day main, but rp1 for night did not goto main greeting. 406 has rp1 to ring 519, rp1 button lit to indicate that mode but no night greeting even though i confirmed it is in 1002 recorded, worked with Samsung for 1 hour, taught their tech support a few things, haha, but no solution, need the help of real technicians what could it be a compatability issue with the svmi & officeserv 100 or what, thanks in advance....

The new E series are different from the old SVMi's in the day and night operation. Do this and your problem will be solved...

MMC 406...
1: 501 2: 502

MMC 601:
501: Keep it setup the way you have it.
502: Member - 3501 Overflow - 1 second Next port - 519

Get into the voicemail and program in forward trunk for 502 go to Night Menu.

That's the easy way of doing it and the way I would do it.

But if you really want to set it up where the trunk goes directly to the voicemail then you will have to go to the direct trunk table. Then go to page two and make 701 go to night menu, 702 go to night menu, etc.

Either way will work.

So what happens when you are in Rp1 ?What message answers from the SVMi?

You may want to check the SVMi mode for day/night /auto.

"worked properly during day after I set forward trunk for 501 to goto day main"
What was it doing before you did this?

Assuming that your RP1 and RP2 is working properly, go to overide mode in the svmi main menu. Make sure that all ports are set to scheduled instead of day. Scheduled means that the svmi mode will follow what is set in 744 for rp1 and 2. You can also do this manually and remotely by accessing the admin mb and changing the mode to 0 for all ports.

yeah it goes correctly after overflow in rp2 day to day main= forward trunk if it sees 501 in page 2 goto day main, but in rp1 night it plays day, i manually set the mode for tonight untill i can return , i have set up a bunch of these and never had this issue, i was wondering if it is where i used a july dated svmi-4e with 3.5 hours of storage instead of the new 15 hour vm?

I think PVJ has your answer, mode 0 (zero) in the SVMi-4e will make it follow the ring plan.

You should be able to figure this one out with port activity pretty easily. But below are some good things to check. It has nothing to do with the 3.5 vs. 15 hrs.

1. If you are ringing 519 directly in RP1, then you should be following the Direct Trunk. Check your rules in DT menu. if you don't see any rules directing to day main in the default, press left arrow and hightlight default 00 and press enter. then select night mode and confirm that you have no rules pointing at day main in night mode of dt menu.

2. Check your Forward Trunk, FWD station, direct trunk menus and see if you put a prompt number in them. If you entered a prompt number 1001 here, you would think your in the day main, when you are actually still in the foward trunk. You would be routed to day main after prompt

3. Goto your mode block. Confirm that you didnt put any salutation prompts in any of those menus.

4. If none of those work for you, then you will need to use the wonderful world of port activity. The answer was there all along.
