Just for grins...
You said that the system was defaulted? How? If you didn't leave the slide switch in the off position on the processor for over 2 minutes, then you may have gliched the software. Default again, don't use MMC 811. If that don't fix it then I would remove the card via MMC 806 and re-install it. If that doesn't do it, then take it down to minimal config. That means remove all DLI, trunks and Sli except the card that is in trouble and test it. It's possible that the P/S is now bad because of the power removal and the load is too much. The cable should be fine becasue you were able to answer the call even tho it didn't ring. The key is that it doesn't ring either internal or external. Start looking backwards. :toast:

I agree with Rowlettdon about the power, I had this problem a few months ago and moved the 8MWSLI to another cabinet and it worked fine. power supply had to be replaced in the other cabinet.

OK, Figured it out seemingly!

I swapped the RGEN from Expansion into the KSU, it seems to have done the trick.. Bad RGEN!

However, I have learned an important lesson. The SLI cards in the DCS 200 are not as powerful as the DCS 70. The DCS 70 was able to drive the bells on an old Rotary phone I had.. the 200 doesn't.. Which made the process a lot harder.

For those who havn't played with the DCS200. The RGEN Is a circuit board located in the top of the KSU and Cabinets to step up voltage for SLI ringing. Apparently they do blow. This makes sense as the SLI card used to be in the other cabinet, I melted it all down into one cabinet as our 5 staff didn't really need a system with 56 DLI's and 8 SLIs with 14 TRK's, a PRI and 2 x BRI...Â

Approval for connection to the the Australian PSTN network requires that analogue phones use Sine wave ringing, and not square wave as is used elsewhere.

All Samsung equipment sold in Australia, (and I believe Italy) is supplied with modified ring generator circuits to meet this requirement.

This is one of the many regional difference between Samsung systems, and explains why some of the hardware and software is different bewteen countries.

Yes, I noticed on the KSU Logic board Jumper 1 and Jumper 2 (Hard wire joints) set to the sine wave. I noticed the rgen also has the ability for 20hz and 25hz with another 4 small adjustment knobs which I didn't have the nerve to play with in fear of blowing something up.

I've twice had a small card casino blow up the single lines on a 2x4 card by plugging too many phones on the circuit. They are intended to have ringing power for a little over one standard old Bell phone. You could talk, but no ringey dingey.
