Most DETs on our installs are set to voice first announce. Change them to ring by toggling the key to ring before answer. Then plug in the new cordless. Alot of our initial sales were a blitz to existing customers and we would take a cordless out to a site and plug them into a jack where an existing DET was already installed. Installed several dozen and have been really happy. Had one complaint...customer wanted to lay the cordless down and talk handsfree from 30 feet away. In a loud manufacturing facility.
