Having a CIX100 in my office I can explain what to do, but it has been stated before above and they are correct.

Someone comes to your site and uploads new software.

That said, there is no point in upgrading to the old 2.21 when they can upgrade to the last version of release three and load e-manager. No sense to pay for old software when newer (need a release 4 card to use release 4 software) software is available.

Their should be a bunch of dealers in Montreal, you are not locked into one dealer. It could be you have another dealer install a remote modem so they could make changes without coming to your location.

You shouldn't feel like a hostage. You could call Toshiba directly, explain the situation, discuss the bills, see if the Toshiba rep has advice on what to do.

Toshiba does not want you in this position. They don't want customers who feel they are hostage, you won't buy from them again. You've bought really good equipment and maybe the dealer has been ethical or not, but contact the dealer or Toshiba Hq. directly and just say that you have to be taken care of and please do it this week.

If you had your software updated and emanager installed, someone here could probably help you with that one programming request. But it would be part of the upgrade and a short piece of work.

Toshiba does not keep around dealers that are abusive to customers and it may be that you are frustrated and just want it to work. This is a typical customer. Emailing or faxing your dealer or another dealer or Toshiba Hq. puts it in writing so someone can deal with it. Ask what you want flat out and ask that it be done this week.

If your dealer doesn't want you for any reason, there are always others eager to have your business, do a fine job, and make a living by satisfying customers. At this point phone calls to people in your area is a good starting point and remember that many people advertise doing Toshiba but they are not dealers and cannot get the upgrades while they may be able to program.
