Newbie to CTX 100.

I can not connect to my CTX 100 using winadmin.
I used the phone with display to check ip and can ping the CTX 100. Actual my netphone Level2 can not connect to the CTX. Level2 PBX is pointed to the ip but still errors out.

Prog=916 commands
****
****
916
hold
intercom
spkr (192)
spkr (168)
spkr (X)
spkr (X)

then I forgot what button to press to save new IP.

THX Cerpher

P.S. I wish I could get into the CTX using winadmin

What version of WinAdmin are you using?

I've been using eManager for so long that I can't even remember much of WinAdmin.

Why did you want to change the default IP if you are just administering your own system?

I'm missing something here. Sorry.

If you can ping the CTX at 192.168.x.x then why do you wanna change the workable IP address?

There are other factors to troubleshoot connection problems. Check firewall, PC IP settings, software problems (happened to me).

Save = HOLD x2

Well the Winadmin was working on the last IP so I want to change it back to the old IP and try using the Winadmin then.

WinAdmin still not working.

The CTX100 Switch IP is 192.168.1.2
The WinAdmin has an IP of 192.168.254.253 (CTX IP/Name)

It worked before and now I still can not connect using the WinAdmin.

You need to change your IP on the computer that is running Winadmin to the same subnet, 192.168.1.X. When you use Winadmin to connect, put in the IP address of the CTX to connect to.

Opps sorry did not stated the Netphone Server.

CTX100 Switch IP is 192.168.168.1.2 set by display phone prog=916
WinAdmin V2.22a.20 has 192.168.254.253 CTX IP/Name
Netphone Server Oaisys has 192.168.1.3
Gateway is 192.168.1.1

You need to check router settings. Routers pass packets across different subnets.
You have 192.168.1.x subnet
and 192.168.254.x subnet
and a subnet mask of only 255.255.255.0
so you need a router to route traffic between the two subnets or change your subnet mask.
I think that is your problem.

I do not understand. I have no access using WinAdmin. I have to use a display phone to change the IP of the CTX prog=916. I IP I used is stated above 192.168.1.2 which is in the same subnet as the Netphone. I open the WinAdmin and see it has CTX IP/Name 192.168.254.253. I guess my not understanding is this is only a name not the CTX Switch IP, right???? I can ping 192.168.1.2 from the Netphone server.
