I am attempting to upgrade a TDA100 V3.2002 to V5.0 so it will accept NT300 Series phones. I've done this before but the upgrade will not take this time. After copying the V5.0 files to the SD card and initializing, the system stays at V3.2002 and I'm not promted to re-register the system with Panasonic. Station cards all come right back, which they should not, and the system is defaulted. I've tried 4 times and even redownloaded the V5.0 SD files from Panasonic. I know I must be doing/missing something stupid. Thanks for your help, Mike.

You might have to delete the old private folder from the sd card and upload the private v5 folder to it. But don't take my word, tech support has helped me with this problem a couple times. Try talking to Don.

Thanks 94.
I spoke to Jason who said that might work too. But you know, I've never had to do that before and I've done this exact upgrade in the past.

Did you do the system upgrade and then it asked you to reset the system? There is a screen that asks, do you want to replace the existing file with the dsys sub or keep the current file. By default it is "bullseyed" on keep the current file. If you didn't change that, it would reload the old version....

When I do an upgrade, I load an entire v5 to a new sd card. Then I already have a converted dsys file and pre-register the keycode. The entire upgrade process takes about 15 minutes downtime.

I'm not even getting to that point ictelco. Although your idea about bringing a preloaded card out to the sight is great!
After loading V5.0 and doing an initialize, the MPR is still at V3.0. I don't think converting the old DSYS to V5.0 would do anything? System is defaulted but all cards come back, which the station cards should not. It's acting as if I didn't write anything new to the card.

What I was thinking about was the PMPR upgrade which loads, then via utility you do a system reset, at which point it prompts you about the dsys sub file. On the dealer website note there are two different v5. One is an upgrade, and the other is the entire v5. That is what I load to an empty sd card.

I tried the V5 upgrade, V5 SD, and the V5.0021 upgrade. I also tried the "RESET BY COMMAND".
I am going to preload the Full V5 on a 256MB SD card, which Panasonic said is ok, and try that in the morning.
Thanks for all the help folks and I'll let you know what gives tomorrow.
