Hi. And thanks for the responses! Plantronic CS 50There's also an optional handset lifter to allow you to place/receive calls and also hang up. - Lifter: what would happen if I didn’t have one? GNNetcomI get better feedback on the GNNetcom models. These also come with or without lifters, one-ear, two-ear, flex boom, noise cancellation - anything your heart desires. They're not as snazzy looking as the Plantronics, but the sound quality can't be beat. - Noise Cancellation: What is that? - Flex Boom: I have no idea what this is? If anyone could help me with it, it’d be appreciated! As for the GNNetcom, Keighlar, what do you mean that “the sound quality can’t be beat� Do you mean, the sound quality on the callers end, or the receivers end?Sorry for all the questions guys...I’ve just been looking for a good headset for, literally years, and it looks as though I may have stumbled across some solutions. The handset lifter permits you to start and stop the call remotely. Without it, you must initiate the call at the phone before you can walk around. You also have to return to the phone to end the call.
The lifter also has a sound pickup so that you can hear your phone ringing through the headset when you are away from your phone. By hitting the answer button on the headset's controller, you don't need to be at your desk to receive calls.

It means that you could have the best headset money can buy, but if you have a noisy phone line, the headset will not do much to help make your voice understandable.

I've been using the CS50 and the HL10 lifter for almost a year. It works well, good wireless range.
We recently started testing the GN 9350 and the voice quality is MUCH better than the Plantronics. You may not need the 9350, it's phone and PC compatible, look at the 9330 (?) which is phone only.

I use the CS-50 on my personal set here and have several in use through out the company. They are great. I highly recommend them. :thumb:
