We have a new BCM to be installed. We need help in the initial set up We both are Nortel and Avaya Certified with Computer/Data experience of 75years between us We both have read up and have the equipment in our test lab to set up for test before we install on the customer premise. We know we have to access the Element MGR for programming

You are Nortel certified? :shrug:

And you've :read: the BCM 50 manual? And now you're asking for what? Installation is very straight forward if you follow the steps in the manual.

You can program from a phone or Element manager. You download the Element Manager from BCM web page. The manual will give ip address and info. It is like a Norstar when using a phone to program.

I am just curious as well on what nortel product are you certified,i am certified on the avaya ip office platform took the expensive course but don't ask me to put one in now,thats why i beleive that knowledge and experience in the product is worth more then the piece of paper.
i don't wanna sound rude but if you are certified
and have 75 years of experience it should be awalk in the park for ya,
btw the bcm needs a wall bracket to be mounted (sold seperatly)
