This customer likes to purchase his stuff off the web and use the lowest bidders for everything. So other people have had their hands on his system. MICS 6.1 or above, don't recall right now.

He has a new PRI and got his own enabler elsewhere. The problem is: someone changed the config password. I can't get in at all to program this thing. That vendor isn't returning his calls.

Is there a backdoor to resetting the password?

I've heard you can short the battery on the MoBo or something like that to give it a manual re-initialization, but I really don't want to bend over backward for this guy, just get him converted to PRI if I can.

You can reply privately to my email.

Thanks

Turns out he got a RAD too. He didn't know what it was for. I shorted the battery on that instead of the system. Worked like a charm.

Thanks.

Jack Damage,

There is a debug routine for RAD and FAST RAD units. You don't have to open them up.

If all else fails, use a BFH.

Is that the deal where you set the date to July 30th, dial F**, then do a certain button sequence on the soft keys to reset the FastRAD?

If so, I have that printed out, but never tried it. In fact I had forgotten about that.

If it's something else, let me know, please.
