Take note that a Modular 8x24 is NOT a Modular ICS or MICS. Two entirely different systems, with the Mod 8x24 being a much older series.
Therefore, I suggest that that is why a Polycom will not work.

Yes I am aware that a 8x24 is a Modular DR5, I just typoed. What I am saying and Marv I think this is still on topic. The Polycom that Bob is talking about above is an SL1 Polycom phone that plugs into a digital port and functions as an analog phone. So I am curious how this could possibly be working on an 8x24??? Is was not made for Norstar phone systems and am interested to know how this is working.
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol
