I have an 8X24 with StarTalk Flash, and a 7324 with (1) KLM and I have the manuals and have installed the entire system with the exception of the KLM.

Also, I have a StarTalk Flash 4, I understand that I have two ports, but 4 channels and I understand that I connect to the two station ports and that becomes 4 channels, but I do not know specifically how that is wired. Someone said use a duplex, that's great but what relationship do the connections have at the StarTalk Flash input, i.e. Blue/Blue-white, Blue/Blue-white, Blue/Blue, Blue-white/Blue-white? Sorry, I know this is a stupid question to most of you guys, but I can't find the answer.

all you have to do on the KSU is wire your last two station ports to a surface mount jack(one for each port, then run a base cord from your next to last port to the upper rj11 jack on the flash, connect the last station port to the bottom rj11 jack on the flash.

I am trying to dig through my manuals to find the wiring diagram for the KLM. I have one in a PDF format which I will email to you. I just need to track it down. I upgrade my home storage server and ended up transferring everything to disk.

WHAT IS THE WIRING & PROGRAMMING PROCEDURES FOR A CAP MODULE

WIRING:

The Norstar® CAP module needs an external power source. A way of providing this source is by wiring in the VP324 24-volt DC power supply. In this example a 6 conductor modular jack is being used. The power supply can power two CAP modules. To connect second CAP module you will add another power pair to the 3rd pair on the 6 conductor modular jack. You can have a maximum of 5 CAPs “central answering positions” per system. The CAP can only be a 7324 and you can attach 2 CAP modules to a 7324.

1st KLM Power Pair
pin 5 Yellow -24 V
pin 2 Black Gnd

2nd KLM Power Pair
Pin 6 Blue -24 V
Pin 1 White Gnd

PROGRAMMING:

1. Have the CAP modules attached to the telephone with power supplied.
2. Enter SYSTEM PROGRAMMING
3. Select SHOW and then select NEXT to CAP ASSIGNMENT
4. Select SHOW
5. Cap1:none is displayed, select CHANGE
6. Cap1: xxx, enter the extension number of the CAP with one or two KLMs attached.
7. Exit programming

If all else fails, use a BFH.
