Shot in the dark, but I would also check any lightening protection that may be on that line. On several occasions I have run into protectors going "1/2" bad and clamping down on the ringing voltage. I've had some that would do it all the time and some that would be more erratic. Anyay just a suggestion. Out of curiousity, is 301 a display phone, and if so does it dispaly noramlly when the problem occurs or does it say anything different?

I am an amatuer so I am not sure, I assume the first pair is the line and the 2nd pair is the power, if the tip and ring on any of these pair are crossed would this cause a problem? Is polarity important on the power side? or the line side?

Yes it can, I would suggest you get a tech over to look at to be sure what the problem is.

I have been looking for this "copy" function that you spoke of earlier, to transfer the settings to another port/ext, where can this info be located? I looked in the programming manual but it is not there.

It's not called (Copy)

Program 17 (key assignments) program dest icm to a source. This will copy your key assignments but not Speed Dial, Ringing, Line Access, those will be default.

Can you change the value of an ext. Like if I use ext/port 309 can I change it to be recognized as 301 ??

No, I don't mean to be rude or mean my friend but you really sound like you are way out of your league working on this system, I would suggest you find a tech in your area to come in and help you. Once again I'm not tiring to be rude.

I am not a complete idiot. I know I dont the everything about this, thats why I am asking questions, the manual I ahve is lacking pages, I do have a general understanding but this system is not a meridian or large scale system, personally it looks like a P.O.S. but I have to get it online. Just looking for help so if you have answers I really appreciate it. I am already looking into having someone come out to assist me, thanks.
