Greetings - I am trying to access my Mitel SX-200 via HyperTerm but am unable to access the system as it is asking for a Username and Password (or is it just a password)

The company that installed the unit is no longer in business, so I have no way of obtaining it. Is there some default passcode that I can use?

Is there a way to access the system, I need to make some program modifications.

Kind of hate to start talking password stuff especially since you are brand new (sorry). But if all levels have password changed you will have to find a dealer who can have Mitel reset it and it ain't cheap.

I am going to try a few times to 'hack' it,.. maybe I can guess what they set it too.. But otherwise, I think you are right,.. that it will have to be handled by a dealer / installer to have it reset.

But I did do a search, and not finding anything, thought I would ask.

I wish to thank everyone of assisting me with obtaining the information needed to access my system. I have been able to access it and investigate a few things.

Now,.. If I can just find a programing manual and find time to read it.

Gene J I have the same problem, I have a SX 200 LW19, the guy who installed it gave a phone no only, now I can't even reach him, he did not give any level access to us or the password. Could you or any body let me know how to reset it, any help would be much appreciated.

Shamrock1, passwords are not given out freely here. If you reread the whole thread, you should be able to pick that up. Eventually, a moderator will respond privately, but, you'll need to convince them that you should know the password. In all probability, Dane's information is what you will be acting on. Thanks Lightninghorse, I thought Gene J was able to reset his, I own this SX200 LW 19 N1.3.0.6 system and can not even cut /shut a extension or trouble shoot a extension when it is down, neither can I add any more extensions, does anyone know a authorised dealer in Bellingham, Wa or I have to buy another system so I don't have this kind of problem, thought the person who set it up was a established dealer but now his phone doesn't even work, am stuck with a system with which I need help help help help

I looked into the cost of getting it reset, it isn't that expensive. You should only be paying the hourly rate to get it done.
