Our part of the world is finally requiring 10 digit dialing for local calls starting this weekend. We have a couple of sites running 4.4 and having a PRI (using ARS). Can't figure out how to properly program so that 10 digit local calls will go through. Suggestions and or tips or even a WAG or two would be appreciated. Bruce ps - The 5.1 to present have been a piece of cake to set up.

I would look at the Dial Rules under Route Groups and then the Numbering Plan Area Flags under Miscellaneous System-Wide Information. Compare those settings to what you have had success with on the 5.1 and above systems and you'll be on the right track.

Thanks for the advice. Got them working. Found out we needed to put local area codes in the toll string, and then add dial rule 2 in to local facility group. Tested with SMDR and a DON on the PRI. All looks good, but the dialing is very slow with the ten digits, but at least it works.
