No, the power supply only provides voltages for lamps, controls and intercoms. The lines themselves pass straight through the line card to the phone. Yes, the Viking unit isn't cheap, but it was designed specifically for this issue. Mike Sandman's site has more gadgets to address this issue, but they aren't cheap either. HERE'S SANDMAN'S PAGE
