Hello, This seems to be the place to get help with the Comdial DX-80. We just moved into a leased space with an existing DX-80. I would like to use it but do not have any of the voice mail passwords. Is there any way I can override or reset this?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Have you obtained a manual/user guide to determine if the default passwords are still in use? You may need to get a certified Comdial tech with the appropriate software on a laptop to bust the passwords if they have been changed.

Thanks for your reply! I do have all the manuals Including programming software (on floppy's almost forgot what those looked like)and none of the default passwords are in place. I was hoping to get around hiring a tech but it seems that is my only option. It's a large system i got for free so a couple hundred on a tech won't kill me. I just hate giving up. Computer engineer by trade hurts to be defeated by a 4 digit password....
BTW I have creep'd around a bit and found this forum to be quite the informative place with lots of helpful responses. Like a breath of fresh air as forums go.
