So the zones work, paging works. The speakers hiss when idle though. The speakers are kept at maximum volume. All four zones hiss on the speakers. My buttset across Tip and Ring is silent with speakers connected or not. I wired a speaker right at the phone system with only the one speaker hooked up to the power supply, only one zone hooked up, hisses. That's with the speaker and about 4 feet of cabling total between the Valcom power supply (1124), the IDS and the speaker. This is on an IDS 228. They have it on a small surge protector, no UPS. I don't think there's much I can do about the hiss. I am going to try reversing polarity on tip and ring and seeing if maybe the hiss comes from the 2nd power supply of the IDS. Do you guys have any other thoughts? I can see ending up either adding a V2006A or a RAD 1A or a bunch more speakers...
