I have some VALCOM V-1072B door phones - and basically - its tip/ring for the speaker (2 wires) and 2 more wires for the MIC.
In a word, no. That's not what it is.
And as has been pointed out the V-1072B is supposed to be used with a separate controller. What phone system are you using this with?
