hey every1 I have an Acer pc aspire3000 and the volume is so so low I hardly can hear it I used the Fn keys but it is not helping, when I go to Control panel and try to place an icon in the taskbar since it is misssing from there , an error occurs does any1 have clue wat is the problem

Do you have external speakers attached? If so, it could be bad speakers. Could be the sound card as well.

On top of what Rich said above, judging from the statement about the error when trying to make the speaker icon appear in the task bar you could have a corrupted driver on the software end as a possibility as well. Have you tried removing and re-installing the sound card driver via the device manager? There is a possibility this may help, about a 50/50 shot.

I second the check on sound card drivers. Check Acer's website for any updated drivers for your model.
