If this system is big and busy enough that they are using more than a couple of park orbits, then perhaps 34-button phones would have been a more appropriate choice?
Yes it would have, but as is often the case, I was not the one who sold this system (and I am certain that the customer would not have gone for the additional expense).

The phones have 4 call buttons (switched loop) and a record call button.

At the bottom there are 4 different page zones and a page all (I have a 2PGDAD providing 2 additional external zones and zone 4 is a page zone.

The customer is happy with the Intercom *6x solution, but my boss refuses to believe that there is not a button I can program to be call pickup (like he's used to on the InterTel).

But then, in most cases, a DSX is a much better price point.

I personally find the softkeys to be easy enough but he doesn't like it.

I'll just have to tell him it just is what it is (I find it works just fine for the most part anyways).
