Hi!

I'm looking for a good wireless headset to use for my land-line at home.

However, I'm not looking for any old headset, those $50.00 ones just don't cut it. The person on the other side always has complaints that it :)sounds like I'm on a speaker phone.


Does anyone know of a good Wireless land-line headset?


Any help whatsoever, would be great!

They come in many flavors, mono = one ear Bi-monaural = 2 ear, with different boom mikes and disconnects. Pick a good brand name and the one you like best. They offer a money back satisfaction guarantee, so keep trying until you find one you like. Plantronic and GN Netcom are usually billed as the top of the line.

The Plantronics CS-50 seems to be doing well for us. It's not too expensive and does a good job with coverage. There's also an optional handset lifter to allow you to place/receive calls and also hang up. I have tried it myself and it's pretty good.

And, my main concern: will the person who receives a call from the Pantronic CS 50 complain about the sound of my voice on their end (like I'm on a speaker phone etc.)?

I have 2 CS-50s in my office. Both have the lifter that Ed mentioned. They work great.

I get better feedback on the GNNetcom models. These also come with or without lifters, one-ear, two-ear, flex boom, noise cancellation - anything your heart desires. They're not as snazzy looking as the Plantronics, but the sound quality can't be beat.
