If bdbdbdbd= busy tone, it must be a programming issue...

I interpret it as the ring sound one hears at the door box
(hard to say really )

Hal's got the solution you need to check with a 2500 type ringer at the partner and then back out to the door box itself

could be as easy as a bad connection or broken wire somewhere along the way

I believe you should also be able to push line four and have a voice path to the door
