Avaya should have seen this coming if they where going to support the PC card mail after release 3 ACS.
But again it's just my opinion.

Why would you upgrade the amount of users on the phone switch side without upgrading the phone switch and VM dial plan?

No wonder my hair is turning gray................

The 1998 PC mail does not work with an R7. It will shut the system down.

Go figure? I just got a crew cut so I can't pull my hair out.

Just an update on this issue.

The customer was a small motel that added rooms that will be x49, x50, x51, and x52. They use the PC card mail mainly for the AA so people can reach the room they want after 11pm when the front office leaves for the night.

The only work around I could come up with was to create 3 CG's (72,73 & 74). Assign x50 (only) to CG 72, x51 to 73 and x52 to 74. Then create selector code 5 to point to CG 72, 6 to 73 and 7 to 74.

It's not pretty, but it works.

I tried to just point selector code 5 to x50, 6 to 51 and 7 to 52.
But that was a "no can do".
