But, I would still have the goal of becoming very knowledgable of the equipment, it's cabling, and programming so as to be able to handle the "catastrophes" that seem to come on a daily basis ...What catastrophes?? Nothing wrong with wanting to become knowledgeable but you seem to think this is a computer network. I have been selling, installing and servicing Avaya and it's predecessors for over 10 years. I can tell you that you will have very few problems with a Partner system and when problems do crop up it is almost always because of the customer. -Hal
