We have this problem for a while now. We are using the External and Internal Ip capabilities of the IPX office. We have a Local Ip setup something like 192.168.xxx.xxx and we also have a public ip setup in the global address field. The ip phone comes up but we have one way audio I am sure someone has had this same problem. We are NOT using a sentinnel.thanks

Something is blocking UDP ports. Look at the config and make sure you have all the ports opened.

If you are using local and global IP phones most of the cases you will need Sentinel or additional GW card.

We are in fact using the Global and Local Ip addresses and according to Tech Support you do not need a sentinnel in the mix. I am curious if anyone has it working without a sentinnel. Thanks

Ironhedz, have you put a packet sniffer (like wireshark) on to find out what is being blocked yet?

Make sure your user compressions and zones match thru out the system. I've seen that cause one way audio.

Whose tech support said you don't need a sentinel?
