I've upgraded SW on systems in the past (using upgrade tool or defaulting/restoring), but have yet to upgrade a CallPilot. Do I just plug in the new card and go? Back-up/restore?

We have to run the backup using the upgrade migration tool, Read the migration /up-gradation document for that release and follow the steps mentioned .....

THere is an upgrade tool that plugs into the upper pcmcia slot. It loads the software on to the lower card while maintaining your database.
Just changing the software card will cause you to loose all programming AND keycodes. A backup from the previous software will be useless.

OK, got it. I wasn't aware there was an upgrade tool for the CallPilot too.
