I have an Aspire with a partial PRI and the problem is this, when you dial outbound there is a pause of a couple seconds after they dial before they hear ringback. The carrier says it is the phone system, I think it is carrier since everything is happening on the PRI dialtone. Your opinions are appreciated.

Try dialing "#" after the number. The PRI could be looking for more digits before completing the call. Pound (#) tells it there is no more and to send the call now.

It is the way PRI circuits work. Phone systems (any phone system)with PRIs wait until all of digits are dialed, Then it send all of the digits at one shot. It is waiting to see if you are going to dial another digit. Most systems Including the Aspire recognize a # an "I am done dialing , send the call"

FYI...the "dialtone" you hear on the PRI is actually generated by the system.

You can setup the ARS (automatic route selection)to insert the # automatically.

You can also shorten the timer in 21-01-03 but this also controls how much time you have between digits so you can't make it too short. I usually go wit 3 seconds.
