It is only one port 005. Usually that port should be not crossconnected to anybody and left idle for tech. to come and hook up 20 button Display telephone to do programming without interupting services. The best way to verify CO assignment its go to Program 39, dial ext.#, press a # key and touch each button. Lines will show 001....etc.

Something is really strange, going into program 81 after veriying CO ports in 39 and setting different phone ports to ring or not ring depending on the set the programming tells me it was exectued but nothing changes on the sets?
Any idea's?

Sounds like this system has been really changed around - You need to make sure you enter the port # in program 81 - not the extension #. When you checked the phones earlier and got the display "ext. 107, phy 035 and log 035" that phone is programmed by entering 035 as the port #. It is the physical port.

LC, You have to make sure that you are doing program for the right Phisical port. Couple days ago I had the same problems. lines flashing but not ringing on 424. I had to reset switch otherwise it will not work.

I am pretty sure I had the right ports. Just a power cycle?

To verify which port an extension is on, and what extension number is assigned to that port, go to the phone and do an intercom # 401 (extension number assigned), and intercom #402 (port number assigned). This will eliminate any doubt as to what port and extension you are working with. Phone must be a display phone.

I will double check these, how can I verify CO ports on a particular extension - I thought I did in program 39, perhaps I did it wrong?
