I need some help on Inter-tel Voicemail. When I listen to the message and try to respond back( pressing 2 and 2 )using the caller id 901-xxx-xxxx the out dial puts a 1 in front of the number ( 1-901-xxx-xxxx ) The system is basic copper lines without the use of ARS. This happens on two other systems with different software so it has to be in programming. I remember changing something years ago but old age is not kind.

First you will have to make sure 901 is listed in your Home Area Codes.
Then you will have to manipulate the Extended Area Codes under User Groups to determine which office codes need the 1 inserted and which do not.
It can be a little convoluted to set up but F1 is your friend.

Thanks for the reply but The ARS is not turned on. Will the system still use the office codes if you use trunk 9201 instead of 92000?
