I replaced a Partner ACS using a Page Pac D20 with an IP Office. What is the best way to determine if the Page Pac 20 was set to line or station port? There is/was a cord going from the Page In port on the Page Pac to the paging port on the Partner. I can't find any documentation that says whether it is line or station port - I thought I programmed it for both but neither works. Want to verify which it should be before going back to site. Or are they even compatible? Thank you in advance.

Partner ACS paging port has audio on the center pair, and a contact closure when paging on the pair surrounding the center pair. On the Page Pac 20, you would connect a 4 conductor line cord and set the slide switch to Page port.

On IP Office, the best way is to use a single-line station port, set the Equipment Classification on the Ananlogue Options tab to Page Port, and use a Viking AIB-1 Audio Isolation Transformer between the IPO and the paging amplifier. You can use the same input jack or the screw terminals on the amp instead. Still put the slide switch to Page Port, and if the amp is not VOX activated, place a short from Ground to C1,

If you want to use an Analog Trunk Port on the IP Office, set the slide switch to Loop Start.

Analog trunk port programmed as a page port allows simultaneous paging, which the trunk port does not.
