I have already torn it apart but I was wondering the make and manufacture of a telephone that has these specifications:
Dial Tone: Red-White-Green (white & green = true DT) Handset Wiring: Brown-White-Green Rotary Dialer: Red-White-Green-Black
All terminated on a terminal strip.
Construction is brass and black plastic.
Desk phone but NOT Candle Stick style
Rotary has number and NO LETTERS 1-0 It has a Transmitter Cap...but larger.
Transmitter has the following verbiage: (first line)V.K. & R. O. NOTGNIVEL (second line) TELEFON.A.G.
I installed a 4P4C to the WH-GR wires and have achieve DT, I can break DT and can receive, but not transmit voice path.

My guess is Ericsson - is there an induction coil and capacitor in the base of the phone? Any schematic inside? Are the carbon granules in the transmitter packed together and thus not transmitting? Swapped in a T1 transmitter for testing purposes?

With the verbiage "Telefon" I was thinking German. This is an interior view: This is an hastily assembled exterior view: "Pay no attention to the mess in the background"... As of last summer I have been making "Steampunk" items, such as: Minion Tardis NCC-1701 (Enterprise) Bird House Flash Drives

Ericson would have been my guess also. I have several Ericson sets and they are very low key with manufacturer and country of origin stamps.

Might be Siemens's or T&N (Telefunken und Normalzeit [I think I spelled that right])

Sam, close enough. Telefonbau und Normalzeit. Translation: "telephone construction and standard time." (the phone in question is not, however, a T&N telephone.)

This says it is French but I don't know... Thank you for the heads up! The pictures look almost identical to what I have. The wiring colors are not 'normal' that I have see. I purchased the telephone in an antique store for $30.00 and the end was cut off from the base cord. The area around here has a lot of immigrants especially Russian and Spanish speaking. The brass base has a rusted through area about 2"-3". I plan on Steampunk-ing the telephone.
