I have a customer currently using 9 WE-VOIP clients and is very happy with how it works.
The customer is very competent in installing the software as he has done all his installs and software updates.
The issue is, after installing the App (Ver 4.5.1) on 2 different Sony Experia phones (Android 4.3)the "Public WiFi setting" and "mVOIP setting" are greyed out preventing connection to the PABX (7200 Ver 4.71).
Has anyone had success with these phones or know of other phone settings that need to be changed to get the App to work?

I've only ever used this on galaxy phones, but I know the first time you setup you need to be on the local wifi for the system or connected via vpn.

You also need some ports forwarded to the mp20 card

Off Topic why use We-Voip its just a sip client. I find Bria is a lot cheaper work on all platforms and has more to offer. I'd never sell We-Voip while I can get bria for under $10

Maybe $10 for Bria, then about $15 for G.729a codec.

We-voip is integrated into the dialer, can make the system dial the call and then transfer it to your mobile.

Only downside is that you can't share the extension between devices like you can with a sip client

bria includes the codec now. It used to be free for bria and $9.90 for the codec now its $9.90 for bria and the codec is included. Bria also include some nifty features such as call recording to the device and logs that actually work.

on the Iphone and android you can use Ip dialing and its intergrated in the dialer if you want to use that.

why would you want the system to make the call and transfer it to you? if you make a call you make a call we need to really be honest about some of these features, Like saying we have 5000 speed dial really if you have 5000 speed dial you might as well use a phone book to look up contacts it would be faster. not to mention dial 16 or press speed infront of the 4 digit speed dial it probably faster to dial the FNN.

Beside that when the 5343 comes out we will use the tap to transfer and we-voip will be feature less.

G729 is still listed as a premium feature in the play store description.

Assuming LSP release those features of the 5343 to market.
We don't even have it yet (even though they have made the 5243 EOL) and no firm ETA last i enquired.

You forgot the cost of a 3rd party sip license, i know it went down but it's still pricey. That alone makes we-voip the better choice.

Does WE use the Samsung VOIP license, like the SMT model Samsung phones, or is it just regular SIP that would require a 3rd party sip license ?
