What does Comcast call Disconnect Supervision? I know most of the Telco's call it Cutoff-on-Disconnect.

I have a client that switched to Comcast and now their voice-mail hangs because there is no disconnect signal being sent. Comcast is telling the customer that their phone system is not compatible with Comcast's equipment. Sigh....

Ran into the same problem with a cust of mine...You have to put in a trouble ticket and get to a tech..(good luck with that) and ask for a positive disconnect..takes awhile.."took me a week"

I spoke with 2 techs at comcast and they said that they have no settings to change and their system is setup to 900ms. Has anyone figured this out with sbx and comcast lines.

One of my radio station clients fought this with Mediacom, and gave up after a few months of fighting. Their telco guy installed an Advanced TelePhonics CP-2 call progress decoder... link

In uK its called disconnect clear time and we get them to set it to 800ms Always the problem with v/m hang

I had comcast replace my Arris Model TM502G EMTA and sure enough the problem is gone.

I've had this problem at several locations now. Is it the safe to say mediacom needs to replace their modem? I Never have this problem with actual telco providers.
