Ive been looking at either the X16 or the 45p for my dental office. Ive ruled out traditional PBX/KSU systems based on price, and most analog phones because they dont offer Music on Hold ( a few do, but they are cordless systems and I want atleast 4 desktop units..and the desktop ones are all 2-line and i need 3 or 4). I cant remember where I heard about XBlue, it was on a another forum where someone recommended them.
I like the 45p because of the voicemail to email feature, but as long as they both do cell phone forwarding im fine with it. The practice is brand new and I wont have someone there to answer calls all day, so I neeeed to have the calls forwarded.
The 45p also has the ability to add cordless units, and I see myself wanting one or 2 cordless units in the future for mobile staff to carry, but i do not want all of the front desk workers using cordless like the ATT and Panasonic units that have MoH would require.
Ive seen the x16 priced and I think its priced pretty well for a 4 unit starter system. I havent been able to fine 45p pricing anywhere. Where can I actually purchase this system? Can you guys share MSRP on this? PM me what your price would be for the 45p (voicemail built in?) w/4units +1 cordless, with blue handsets (priced vs black). Can you guys do that or do I have to wait in xblue to get back to me regarding dealers? im looking for pricing for the kit, individual extensions and the cordless.
The office will have 3 CO lines for the voice, 1 dedicated fax line. whole office is wired with cat6 for both voice and data.
I think the voice will all be punched into a panel, dont know what kind. if I leave the unused lines disconnected from the panel I shouldn't have any issues with unused extensions right?
thank you guys for all of the help.

Irfan, 45p dealers in your area will need to contact you. We can contact Xblue for you if you need us to help you find one. The 45p is a dealer product and you would be helped best if a local dealer contacts you. The X16 is a little diffent in that it is not uncommon for an out of state vendor to program it up and ship it to you for local installation. Of course, the Email notification and cordless phone options are not there. You could always use standard cordless phones tied direct to the phone lines however and the system is smart enough to show an in-use light on the key sets when that is done. Regarding pricing, we can't put pricing on this site. You will also need to get that from a dealer but be assured that it is very competitive. And welcome aboard!!!

thanks for the inputs... i submitted yesterday to have a dealer contact me so hopefulyl that gets done ASAP.
Does the 45p wire in similarly to the x16? My low-voltage installer could install it easily im sure if he had the instructions for them, if there isnt anyone local to me.
My only concern is this 600ft linear limit thing... i have 4 front desk lines that are about 100ft each, is that still pushing the limits before i see some hiccups in the system? I will only have a max of 8 extensions down the road, so I guess I could theoretically just hook up 2 extensions per port on the KSU and never have a total of over 200ft.
If i have ports 1 and 2 with 2 phones on each and no open ended jacks... and 3+4 are wired into jacks that have no phones on them... is that still ok (since the open ended jacks are on ports that done have any phone at all on them)?
one more Q for the x16 actually... if i hook up a different brand cordless phone, id assume that phone and its jacks would run straight to the phone block, and those jacks wouldnt be wired into the x16 KSU at all right... and the KSU would be able to detect if the cordless (or any other phone) is using lines 1/2/3 since they wouldnt be available for the x16 to use at that time?

Hi, Khan.....I believe you are confusing the two systems.....the 45p has slp ports that any standard cordless set should work with....the loop limit is for only the little one.
Columbus? Ohio or Georgia? Heck, we even gave a Columbus here in Kansas.... Check the Xblue website for dealer locations.
Good Luck....

Lucky for me Xblue called me and gave me a couple leads.

I think its a mistake to limit yourself to Xblue what you should be looking for is a company you can work with and who can evaluate your needs and recommend a cost effective solution and can install and set it up for you
I have a cavity and I'm currently in the process of looking for a dentist , I'm not searching the web for the best filling materiel and contacting the manufacturer for a doctor in the area who uses it ...
