We have Axxess 5.3 - in the last 2 months I have had to change out the power supply - the problem rears its ugly head with static and clicking on the line, going to voice and intercom station to station. It gets so bad the only way to release the static is to shut down the system and pull the board, wait 30 secs and then reinstall the card. This usually takes the static away for a week or so. Has anyone else seen this problem and is it a known problem with InterTel? Response time in getting the card changed out is not a quick turn around. As you have to document it once then the second time you call they will start the process to change out the card. The system is on UPS power...

Any feedback would be helpful

I had an install once where very bad static would come over a certain group of phones (internal and external), first we tried resetting system which would clear problem for about 3-4 days then it would come back. We finally rolled our power supplies (double cabinet), when the problem showed up again it was on a whole new set of phones, we replaced the power supply that was originally in second cabinet thus clearing the problem.
If you've already replaced your Power supply, check to see if it is system wide or just on a certain group of phones. All I can think of is a bad DKSC card(s), or your back plane on the ksu. Hope this helps.

Is your system grounded good? (to a cold water pipe)
Static electricity will do what your talking about.

DFenech,
If its possible, could you download an error log and email it to me along with the time and date of the static problem. Also could you give me your configuration (slot 1= DKSC16+ etc.)

We changed out the power supply, and the very next day the static, and clicking returned on the lines once again. I did not reset the system at all, and the noise would go away for about an hour or so. One other problem that was occurring was one sided transmission. Today, we had the back plane changed out, now we are just waiting to see if the noise returns or not.
