228 Eclipse. I have zones wired to cards 19, 18, 17 and 16. The way the manual reads to me, External zone 19 is "1", 18 is "2" and so on. When I went to external zone 18 and put it as 62, when I dial *62 from a phone it acts like I'm paging but I do not hear it through the speakers I believe I set for that zone. If I dial *60 I do hear the sound through the speakers overhead.

Try using the card closest to the VCM card as 1 or the first zone.

60 is all zones first station card closest to EVCM, is your first zone, like Brian said, the last pair on this card is the one you want. the second station card will be your second zone and so on, if you skip a card, then skip that zone number, 19 cards, 19 page zones. hope it helps.

It just dawned on me that you might be connecting to the terminals on the front edge of the card, that is incorrect. Use the last pair on the Amphenol connector.

He must be using the right pair if he hears paging when dialing 60. He's just got the zone numbering not quite right... Mike

Thanks all, I'm on my way to try it quick right now. I will try moving what I have on card 19 to 2 and see if it lets me set it as "62". I thought the book was saying not to use card slots 1-4 on a 228 though, but maybe I'm reading it wrong to begin with and I am in fact using whatever its counting as 1-4 so... I will let you know.
