Have one site, 100 server with PRI, the main number is prog X100 X100 ID1. They tell me that sometimes the receptionist while x100 is idle sees a for example line 3 start to flash, she picks up the handset and is connected to that caller, without x100 actually ringing. Is this a real problem or is she to quick of the draw with picking the call before it has a chance to ring????

Steves right, it sounds like the customer doesn't have CID, but CID is enabled on the ESI. This captures the first ring (CID is passed between rings one and two) but the line appearance blinks. If she lets it go, I'll bet it rings her phone eventually.

they do have caller ID being sent from the carrier over the PRI, and I have enabled CID.
So I was thinking, is it possible she is picking up before the ESI has enought time to make x100 ring???

I never really believed this was a real problem, today I was at this site, and I saw calls coming in on the main pilot #, on X100 the CID would show up on the screen & the red lamp would flash on the top of the 48key, but No ring, (yes the volume was turned up) I swaped out X100 with a spare 48 key from a comference room, and X100 was ringing normally while I was there, I tested the phone that was connected to X100 on another workstation and it was ringing fine??????

Did you look into it being a possible bug or known issue?

I told tech support, they issued a ticket #, the guy I spoke to yesterday said it may be not enough current getting to the X100, if so they can adjust some parameters for the port that supplies x100. X100 is the furthest from the ksu but we are only talking 150 ft or so.

I don't buy that if it's only 150 ft. Prove it by taking that phone and connecting it right at the block.
