Has nothing to do with the T-1, it has to do with what the switch expects. Immediate, your switch goes off hook and dials, wink your switch goes off hook, waits for confirmation from the far end then sends the digits. Seizure, not sure what you mean unless you're talking ring down, or when the line is seized it just goes to a specific station or group, which would be the same principle.

Bill's desription is right on for immediate & wink.

Most telephone switches (DMS, 5E, etc) allow a technician to "seize" a particular trunk for the purposes of testing. On the DMS-100/500, you seize the trunk so you can send 1000hz tone to the other end to measure loss (or vice versa). This is typically performed when accepting new trunks from the LEC for interconnect or LD. I've never used it when working with a subscriber.
