about 18 months ago I had the screen on my Dell laptop replaced. It had a scratch on it, and was under warranty. While I was tlking to the tech support person (from Texas even!), I told her I was glad I was getting it replaced, because it was getting a lot of scuff marks on the screen from the LCD screen rubbing against the keyboard in the closed position. She gave a great little tidbit. Cut out a piece of felt about the size of your screen. insert it between the screen and keyboard whenever you close your laptop. This keeps the LCD screen from getting scuff marks. I recently sold that old Dell when I upgraded, and the guy would bought it couldn't beleive how nice of shape the screen was. Just thought I would share that little tidbit with you all.

Wow, that is a great idea. Who would have thought? Thanks for sharing; I will surely be doing that this weekend.
