I recently bought a new laptop and wireless router to use at home and was wondering how concerned I should be with security. I have encryption keys, set it to only recoginze only my laptop and regular pc's MAC address's, and set the router to not transmit its' id. Is there anyting else I need to do to make it more secure? I plan to use the home laptop quite a bit for online banking and such and was just wondering if that was really a good idea or not. I've wandered around the yard a bit with the laptop and noticed the signal does'nt carry too far and I assume that if someone was able to get past the encyption, they would just about have to sit on my front porch to do it.
