I'm another one of those IT guys who inherited an Electra Elite 48, which defaulted when power was out and the battery was bad.. I changed the battery, got most things working again. I need to program LK 5 to LK16 to be intercom buttons on all our phones, most of which are DTP-16D1. How do I program LK5 to LK16 with the number, Do I need to be in tennant mode to do them all?
thanks

Do You Have a Programing Manual? You'll Need to make those Btn's Feature Access Button's in Pgm. 4-12. Then From Ea. Phone, Press Feat.+ Button to Change, Dial 1+Ext Number And Press Feature.

I do have a manual, but I'm not having much luck. I can change the buttons to feature access, what should the second setting be?
also, should MB2-05 be tennant or Tel? The manual says different things in the programming for 4-12.
thanks

Once you get to pgm 4-12: the first 01/= port Number of ext.Second 12/ = pgm item number:L01=CO = 01, is your first line key.Press Transfer to go up till you get to:01/12:L05= Co 05. Press Line 6, it will change to,FA Dial 01, Transfer. MB2-05 should be Tel unless you are using tennant service.

Thanks for the information, I'm just getting back to it.
Tried all that, doesn't seem to want to work right. I need to do the programming for each port number that we are using, right? I can do one, but when I go to that phone to program the keys, I hit feature, redial and the line key. I get "error". If I hit feature and the line key, it says it is vacant.
any other ideas?

If a line key ID's as 'vacant' you need to check memory block 4-12 for that extension [port] and that line key. It is not assigned as a feature access key.

Every time you make changes to the key you have to hit Transfer to store info.

Line key 5 is FA01, Line key 6 is FA02, etc through to Line key 16.
The older software (V4 and prior) only allowed for 10 feature access keys per set while V5 and newer allow for 16.
If pressing Feature and then the line key displays "vacant", the buttons are not programmed properly in 4-12.

what if they display "unused" instead, even though an assignment has already been made on that line key in MB 4-12? (obviously the problem here is some other MB... which one/s
