I have an IPK-II that has what I think is a 2 port VMP, I access it thru the web browser. Anyway I am certed in the Aspire so therefor no little about the VM unit but I just recently upgraded the VM to fix the clock issue and thought this would fix the delayed message issue but it is still happening, my customer has boxes that are getting messages as much as 1 day later, the problem is sporadic but does happen with enough regularity to worry me, any suggestions.

What I have customers do when they report this kind of problem is have users check their mailboxes for messages every hour for a few days, this helps weed out if the messages are late or the system is not lamping when the message are left.

Also in your case with just the 2 port system how many mailboxes are in use? Are they using AA at all?

The do use AA after hours, so only really have 1 of 2 ports lamping. Yesterday after I upgraded the VM my POC's phone said she had 3 messages we go into her mailbox and there are only two, the third showed up this morning, with a time stamp of 5pm yesterday, and the message was actually left at before I upgraded the voicemail

If this is an Elitemail LX, I had this trouble at one site & had to replace the flash drive even though I was at ver 2.0.2.0 with the clock fix installed.

If you have access to NTAC, I would recommend giving them a call. The drive might still be under warranty with them.

I had this problem with a site,NEC had me turn on some traces so they could trace out suspected calls in the reports. I also learned that if a person calls in and hits a pound after leaving a message the voicemail never reconizes a call never came in.

This problem of delayed message delivery is as old as voicemail. I have been working on lots of brands of mails since 1990 and all have had this problem intermittently. The usuall cause is that the message database gets out of sync and the only way I have been able to fix it is to run some sort of database repair or reindex function..
