I have Intramail DS1000. Currently, I have employees that are out of the state. I have a Dial Action Table set up for these employees (press 1 for XXX, etc.) that does a hook-line transfer to a speed dial number.

However, I would like to set up an extension for someone, and have that extension actually just transfer to an external number.

I have tried to set up a mailbox that is tied into a Call Routing Mailbox. The Call Routing Mailbox refers to a Dial Action Table that has a Timeout function that transfers to this external number.

It seems like it should work, but it doesn't. I'm somewhat capable on these phones, but only in layman's terms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For single digit external transfers do this.Make sure you have the trunks set for tandem that are utilized by intramail. And put intramail in a cos that allows unsupervised conf. Assign a digit to UTRF the entry will be (ex. #299). Then program speed dial bin 299 for the external transfer destination. I've done this before and you may need to insert a pause either in front of or behind the entry. (p#299 or #299P) Sorry can't remember but try it all 3 ways. You could also call forward off premise through each extension.Remember it will tie up 2 lines.

Just looked entry would be P#299

I've got the single digit transfers. They don't tie up any lines, because I have 3-way unsupervised conference set up. But I want to have a three digit extension that will transfer, and that's what the problem is.

"They don't tie up any lines" impossible. It would have to at least tie up one line.
Use call forward off premise through each extension. These are the only to options you have. AA ext transfer or set call forward on ext.

Really - they don't tie up any lines. If someone calls from outside, they can press a single digit to be transfered outside the system. I have it set up to essentially do a three-way conference call, and then disconnect, leaving the two parties connected.

Just curious what does that entry look like ? Could you give an example of how you accomplished this, please. Still you could use the call forward off premise on the extensions you need it on. When AA answers they dial 3xx then the extension forward to whatever number.AA must use UTRF also for this. Again this way should tie up 2 lines.

My Dial Action Table dials UTRF #200P, which is a speed dial number that looks liks this: FP14075555555.

I'll try the call forward method, but that will definitely tie up lines.

I still dont see how the 3-way call works and you don't tie up at least one line! I have 3-way in my office on one line. If I place a call or answer one then flash make another call then flash I have a 3-way call. But if I hang up all parties disconnect too. do you have some type of service through telco. Just curious, somebody set me straight!

It is a centrex feature. You basically do a hookflash call the party you want to transfer the call to and hang up. Centrex uses a different procedure for 3 way calling.
