I have a DuVoice DV2000 with Property Management Server intigrated to a XTS-IP system. I'm wondering if anybody has any information relating to changing the station day night class of service through the Property Management Server and/or DuVoice. The instructions from DuVoice tell me to use feature code 470 and to choose the class of service from there. None of my documentation contains any reference to 470 which I beleive is voice mail class of service.

I do not know of the code 470 on the XTS-IP or what it does. Could this be a feature of the DuVoice?

I don't beleive so if you look under flex programing you can see 470 as Voice Mail Class of Service....to my frustration when I try to use the code I get the error beeps. the duvoice post tells you to that the ext has to be in 440 you type 470, ext #, Day COS, Night COS. It seems to eccept the 470 and ext. but any additional character errors out. I'm wondering if this is a feature I have to enable but I can't find anything about it in the manual.

Alright Finally got through to tech support. It's an undocumented feature designed for the DuVoice to control class of service from the Voice mail ports of the DuVoice in Hotel/Motel applications. Documentation will be provided in the next manual.

Interesting. I have always wished that this feature would be made available, not so much for the voice mail to control COS but for the attendant to do so. Thanks for sharing. You really do learn something new every day.

I agree but it seems to be limited to voice mail ports or single lines in 440-447. Didn't test with the attendent. Although, I agree it does make sence for it to allow attendent manipulation.

I tried it here on our XTS using 2.20 software and it doesn't work from any regular station or the attendant. Too bad, because I have customers screaming for this feature, especially since their former systems allowed some level of COS control by the attendant.

You using digital stations? One of my big hickups with this is I tryed it from a 30 btn in the office. We're running 2.20 and it only worked from a single line in 441. Kinda lame but this was added per DuVoice's request and intended for voice mail control of the class of service. If a guy wanted to he could set up a single line extention at the attendent just for this purpose but that seems kind of asinine.
