I don't see a reference in the DK Manual to the 40i as a supported system. When I go into plug and play there is no choice for the 40i there either. I see a choice for DK 14 (Flash). When I am at the initial admin screen it indicates it thinks it is hooke up to a 280.
Will this Stratagy DK work properly with the DK 40i?

Just use the 424 wo SMDI settings for the DK40i in the Plug and Play. You will also need Program 03 in the system set the card slot to 31.
