Need help we have a dk424 sys that usually works fine. sometimes we have a card lock up but thats it...Until yesterday now we are having problems with incoming calls. We cant hear them but if they call right back it works?
I have a call to our phone support but any help would be appreciated. I know in the past alot of times the tech just pulls out a card and puts it back in when they are locked up?

You can try that, the CO card is an RCOU. If that doesn't work, cycle power on the 424. I've also seen that symptom when the phone company has problems, but that's rare.

See if you can find a phone that has a very low REN such as 0.2 and put it on the line without the system attached and call it. If it rings every time but the system doesn't ring every time when connected there is not enough amperage or voltage coming through.
I had a nightmare with a Norstar where the boss from Dallas would call LA several times a day and the line would ring and ring and ring and he was convinced that no one was working.
I put a butt set on line one and called it twenty times, then the same with line two and with line three. By the time I got to line five it wouldn't ring about every tenth time and Pac Bell found a gound fault with the line after I reported the exact problem on that one line. Problem solved.

Thanks, problem solved not sure what fixed the problem though I dialed in to our DID card several times and the 4th channel was always dead. So I reset the DID card and also repunched the DID 4 line. I believe it was a bad connection though, Since DID is only incoming.
