I have a Toshiba system that keeps droping calls. The carrier says they see a level 2 error on channel 24 the D channed, coming form the Toshiba, and then drops all the calls. The D channel resysns up right away and everything is okay. I have put in a new adtran unit and still the same problem. Any ideas would be great....

What is the software level on your processor,if its lower than 4.3 ,then you need to upgrade your processor to 4.3.It was known problems with PRI dropping calls on S/W 4.0,4.1 .I hope that helps.

Is there settings for this? Or what can be the problem, because it is 4.3.

you will usually identify the source of timing in the terminal equipment. in the case of a network provided pri, the source may be named "loop", meaning the c.o. correct framing and error checking is also important. The terminal equipment must agree with the provider. I'm sure you already know most or all of this. If all else fails you may want to revert to a basic loopback test and allow the network provider to check for bit errors.
